The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
